INTRODUCING
CBCT Oral Radiology CertificationÂ
Program Summary:
- Radiology plays an important role in both diagnosis and treatment planning of patients. With the introduction of Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT), a new era of three-dimensional imaging has begun in dentistry.
- This course aims to educate general practitioners and dental specialists on CBCT utilization and/or ownership.
- This three-day (Large-Field) program will include a didactic portion and a hands-on clinical portion.
- The didactic component on Saturday morning and afternoon will introduce the participants the principles of CBCT technology and its applications.
- In the Sunday morning session, there will be a hands-on exercise in which the participants will be trained on how to acquire CBCT scans and how to use 3D viewer software to interpret images.
- The Sunday afternoon and the third day's morning and afternoon sessions will continue with hands-on exercise addressed for large field of view participants.
IMPORTANT:
The image viewing software is not supported by Apple computers. Please bring a PC laptop and a mouse.

CBCT Small & Large Field Oral Radiology

With your knowledge in the foundations of Small Field CBCT (as described above), the next step is to build on that and go deeper and wider in scope. This module covers:
Advanced Anatomy
Wider Scope of Extra Oral and Para Sinus Structures
MaxilloFacial Structures and Advanced Pathologies.
You’ll finish this course with a deep appreciation for foundational support for long term success in your practice.

Dr. Didem Dagdeviren
DDS, Ph.D., M.Sc., FRCD (C), Dip. ABOMR
Dr. Dagdeviren received her DDS and Ph.D. from Hacettepe University, Turkey. She completed her specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology combined with Master of Dental Science at the University of Connecticut, USA. Dr. Dagdeviren is an Assistant Professor and Director of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology at McGill University. She is a Canadian and American Board-Certified specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology.
